Topic

An updated xkeyboard-config package that adds an enhancement is now available
for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.

Description

The xkeyboard-config package contains configuration data used by the X Keyboard
Extension (XKB), which allows selection of keyboard layouts when using a
graphical interface.

This update adds the following enhancement:

  • The new Unicode character U+20B9 (the Rupee symbol) has been added to Indic

keyboard layouts. (BZ#674491)

Users of xkeyboard-config are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
adds this enhancement.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
