Topic

New kmod-igb-rhel5u7 packages are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.

Description

The kmod-igb-rhel5u7 packages provide kernel modules for controlling Intel
Gigabit Ethernet network devices.

This enhancement update adds the kmod-igb-rhel5u7 packages to Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 5 as a part of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Driver Update Program.
(BZ#752737)

The kmod-igb-rhel5u7 packages provide temporary drivers for the following
hardware beyond what was delivered in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.7:

  • Intel I350 Gigabit Ethernet Adapters

Only users requiring temporary driver support for the specific hardware noted
above should install these packages. Unless a system includes the exact hardware
kmod-igb-rhel5u7 packages explicitly support, these packages must not be
installed.
