New kmod-lpfc-rhel5u5-8.2.0.86 packages are now available for Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 5.5. These packages are a temporary driver update which enables the
following hardware:

Emulex LightPulse Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters.

Description

The kmod-lpfc-rhel5u5-8.2.0.86 packages provide kernel modules for controlling
Emulex LightPulse Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters.

kmod-lpfc-rhel5u5-8.2.0.86 is a temporary driver update released as part of the
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Driver Update Program (DUP). (BZ#614362)

The kmod-lpfc-rhel5u5-8.2.0.86 packages provide temporary drivers for the
following hardware beyond what was delivered in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5:

Emulex LightPulse Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters.

Only users requiring temporary driver support for the specific hardware noted
above should install this package. These packages must not be installed unless a
system includes the exact hardware kmod-lpfc-rhel5u5-8.2.0.86 explicitly
supports.

Solution

relevant to your system have been applied.
