RHEA-2007:0461 - Product Enhancement Advisory
Synopsis
New pam_ccreds packages
Type/Severity
Product Enhancement Advisory
Topic
New pam_ccreds packages were added to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3
distribution.
Description
PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules) is a system security library that
allows system administrators to set authentication policies without having
to recompile programs that handle authentication.
The updated pam_ccreds module provides support for caching authentication
credentials for cases when the primary source of authentication credentials
is unavailable. The module must be properly configured in PAM configuration
files to be utilized for authentication.
Users requiring the updated caching authentication credentials capabilities
should install this newly released package, which adds this enhancement.
