Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Enhanced device-mapper-multipath packages are now available.
Description
The device-mapper-multipath package provides tools to manage multipath
devices by instructing the device-mapper multipath kernel module what to do.
Bugs fixed in this updated package include:
- The default configuration for EMC CLARiiON did not blacklist the LUN_Z device.
- Multipath.conf.defaults did not match the actual default configuration for
all devices.
- softlinks to /dev/mpath* were not automatically created for all devices
Enhancements included in this updated package include:
- New path prioritizer for the HITACHI DF600F and DF600F-CM
- It is now possible to blacklist devices by vendor/product with the
bl_product config file option.
Users are advised to upgrade to these updated device-mapper-multipath
packages, which add these enhancements.
