RHBA-2017:1060 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
spice-qxl-driver-win bug fix and enhancement update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated spice-qxl-driver-win packages that fix several bugs and add various enhancements are now available.
Description
The spice-qxl-driver-win packages provide SPICE and QXL for Windows virtual
machines. SPICE is a remote display protocol designed for virtual environments,
which enables you to view a virtualized desktop or server. QXL is a
paravirtualized display driver that reduces CPU usage on the host and provides
better performance through reduced network bandwidth on most workloads.
Changes to the spice-qxl-driver-win component:
- Previously, the API for managing a monitor's position was not implemented, causing virtual monitors to change position (coordinates). Now, the API for managing monitor position has been implemented, so monitors stay in the expected position. (BZ#1202419)
