RHBA-2017:0262 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform Image Inspector image bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated Image Inspector image and its related packages are now available for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 3.4 and 3.3.
Description
Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform is the company's cloud computing Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution designed for on-premise or private cloud deployments.
Image Inspector can extract container images to a target directory, (optionally) serve the content through WebDAV, and identify security vulnerabilities.
Red Hat CloudForms 4.2 (Red Hat CloudForms Management Engine 5.7) and OpenShift Container Platform 3.3 and 3.4 users who want to inspect the content of container images can use Image Inspector.
This advisory contains the container image for this release. See the following advisory for the RPM packages for this release:

This update fixes the following bug:
- Previously, running the SmartState Analysis for Container Images on OpenShift Container Platform 3.4 led to the Image Inspector Pod being blocked on the "Extracting image" step. CloudForms will now use the new Image Inspector image in order to resolve the issue and successfully complete the SmartState Analysis Task. (BZ#1415213)
This update includes the following image:
openshift3/image-inspector:2.1-7
