Topic

Updated tigervnc packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 Extended Update Support.

Description

Virtual Network Computing (VNC) is a remote display system which allows users to view a computing desktop environment not only on the machine where it is running, but from anywhere on the Internet and from a wide variety of machine architectures. TigerVNC is a suite of VNC servers and clients. The tigervnc packages contain a client which allows users to connect to other desktops running a VNC server.

This update fixes the following bug:

  • In earlier versions, the TigerVNC tool started with the "-listen tcp" option by default. A later update changed this behavior, and TigerVNC started with the "-nolisten" option by default instead. As a consequence, exporting a GUI application to a VNC display from a remote host did not work by default. With this update, TigerVNC starts with "-listen tcp" by default again. (BZ#1366534)

Users of tigervnc are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
