Topic

Updated packages that resolve various issues are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 6.0 (Juno) for RHEL 7.

Description

Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform provides the facilities for building a private or public infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud running on commonly available physical hardware.

Changes to the python-oslo-messaging component:

  • Previously, when reply queues did not exist, oslo messaging would retry every second for 60 seconds to connect, which would result in the connection used by oslo messaging being held for 60 seconds. Moreover, when multiple replies fail, this could lead to starvation because the pool could run out of connections. With this release, connections are now released back to the pool whenever a reply fails, and are re-acquired on a retry attempt. (BZ#1276166)

Solution

Before applying this update, ensure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.
