Enterprise Linux 6 and 7.
Description
Red Hat Ceph Storage is a massively scalable, open, software-defined storage platform that combines the most stable version of the Ceph storage system with a Ceph management platform, deployment tools, and support services.
This update fixes the following bug:
- The Ceph Object Gateway did not handle old manifests properly. Consequently, copying an object onto itself (for example, to change its metadata) produced a truncated object if the source object was originally created with the Ceph Object Gateway older than version 1.2 using a non-multi-part upload. The truncated object had correct metadata, including the original size, but the underlying RADOS object was smaller. When a client attempted to fetch the object, the client received less data than indicated by the Content-Lenght header, blocked for more, and eventually timed out. With this update, the Ceph Object Gateway handles old manifests correctly, and copying old objects works as expected in the described scenario. (BZ #1258617)
Users of ceph are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
