RHBA-2014:0265 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
qemu-kvm-rhev update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated qemu-kvm-rhev packages that fix an issue are now available
for Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 3.0.
Description
KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) is a full virtualization solution for Linux
on AMD64 and Intel 64 systems. The qemu-kvm-rhev package provides the user-space
component for running virtual machines using KVM, in environments managed by Red
Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform.
This update fixes the following issue:
- The newer versions of libvirt available in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5
require an updated qemu-kvm-rhev package in order to operate correctly. The
version of qemu-kvm-rhev in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 3.0
channel was old and, as a consequence, users may encounter issues in certain
cases after updating libvirt. By updating the version of qemu-kvm-rhev, the
issue is resolved (BZ#1072072).
Users of qemu-kvm-rhev are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which
address this issue.
