Topic

A new rhevm-image-uploader package is available.

Description

The rhevm-image-uploader package provides a streamlined process for
uploading a virtual appliance stored as an OVF archive to a Red Hat
Enterprise Virtualization export storage domain.

This update fixes the following bugs:

  • Previously, the naming convention in place for the certificate file used

by rhevm-image-uploader to ensure secure communications prevented the
uploader from working correctly.
The certificate file, formerly named engine_ca, is now called cert_file,
and the rhevm-image-uploader functions correctly. (BZ#894690)

  • Previously, the rhevm-image-uploader failed silently when it encountered

insufficient space to extract an image it had uploaded.
Now, the rhevm-image-uploader notifies the user of and
logs insufficient space for image extraction. (BZ#786887)

  • Previously, rhevm-image-uploader failed to auto-negotiate the correct

NFS version due to a kernel error, causing image uploads to fail.
Now, rhevm-image-uploader defaults to NFS version 3 to ensure successful
uploads. (BZ#857028)

All Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager users should install this
update which includes these fixes.
