Updated libdbi packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 6.

Description

The libdbi packages provide implementation of a database-independent abstraction
layer in the C language. This framework allows programmers to write one generic
set of code that works with multiple databases and multiple simultaneous
database connections.

This update fixes the following bug:

• Previously, when processing query results, the last row of a query result was

not freed due to an off-by-one logic error. This resulted in a memory leak that
could become significant after processing a large number of query results. This
update corrects an incorrect test condition in the underlying source code and
memory leaks no longer occur in this scenario. (BZ#733413)

All users of libdbi are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix
this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
