Topic
Updated rhevm-reports packages that fix various bugs and add various
enhancements are now available.
Description
The Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization reports package provides a suite of
pre-configured reports and dashboards that enable you to monitor the system. The
reports module is based on JasperReports and JasperServer, and can also be used
to create ad-hoc reports.
- Jasper Reports was upgraded from 3.7 to 4.7 to take advantage of new features
for the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Reports Portal. (BZ#8032520)
- Previously, when generating reports for a specific date range, the most recent
date range was used, regardless of the date range selected from the input
control window. The value selected in the input control window is now used to
generate reports. (BZ#854926)
- Previously the Cluster Dashboard classified all virtual machines as highly
available servers, even pools of virtual machines. With incorrect information,
the Cluster Dashboard did not serve its purpose of providing quick and accurate
information about clusters. The Cluster Dashboard now classifies virtual
machines correctly, providing accurate, easy-to-understand information about the
clusters in a Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environment. (BZ#857683)
- Previously, the rhevm-reports.war file, required for reports and dashboards,
did not deploy properly. Attempts to access reports and dashboards failed,
redirecting instead to the Administration Portal. The rhevm-reports.war is now
deployed correctly. Reports and dashboards are accessible if installed.
(BZ#861077)
- Previously, business report 16 in the Reports Portal had an incorrectly named
column, causing an exception to be displayed when the report was opened. The
column name has been corrected, and business report 16 now works as expected.
(BZ#863763)
- A regression in the script for upgrading between minor releases of Red Hat
Enterprise Virtualization used the psql command used to backup the databases
instead of the pg_dump command. This caused the upgrade to fail. The regression
has been fixed and now pg_dump is used to backup the database. Upgrades between
minor releases no longer fail when backing up the database. (BZ#867853)
All Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization reports and data warehouse users are
advised to upgrade to these updated packages which address these issues.
