Topic

An updated cman package that fixes several bugs and adds various enhancements is
now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.

Description

The Cluster Manager (cman) utility provides user-level services for managing a
Linux cluster.

This updated cman package includes numerous bug fixes and enhancements. Space
precludes documenting all of these changes in this advisory. Users are directed
to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8 Technical Notes for information on the most
significant of these changes:

All users of cman are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which provides
numerous bug fixes and enhancements.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.

  • BZ - 715107 - fence_vmware_soap -o list doesn't expose proper virtual machine path for fencing.
  • BZ - 718194 - Dell Drac CMC is not working correctly as fence device
  • BZ - 739966 - FENCED_OPTS doesn't work as expected due to wrong shell escaping
  • BZ - 746599 - cman debuginfo package does not contain all symbols
