Topic
Updated spacewalk-web packages that address embedded database maintenance issues
and problems with jabber service for Red Hat Network Proxy 5.4 are now available
for Red Hat Network Satellite Server.
Description
Red Hat Network Satellite Server is a system management tool for Linux-based
infrastructures. It allows for provisioning, remote management and monitoring of
multiple Linux deployments with a single, centralized tool.
This update fixes the following bugs:
- Previously, the synopsis of the manual page for the db-control utility did not
include the description of the "tablesizes" command. With this update, this
description has been added, and the synopsis now covers all available commands.
(BZ#517455)
- When running db-control with the "start" or "stop" command, the utility
incorrectly returned 1, even though the operation actually succeeded. This error
no longer occurs, and the db-control utility now always returns a proper exit
status. (BZ#617305)
- Prior to this update, running the "db-control shrink-segments" command on
certain database tables could fail with an error. This happened when the
database did not have row movement enabled. To prevent this, the db-control
utility has been updated to enable the row movement automatically when the
"shrink-segments" command is used. (BZ#649706)
- The WebUI installer for Red Hat Network Proxy Server 5.4 did not produce a
valid configuration for the OSA jabberd service. With this update, jabberd is
configured correctly. (BZ#656963)
Users of Red Hat Network Satellite Server are advised to upgrade to these
updated packages, which resolve these issues.
