Updated device-mapper packages that include various bug fixes and
enhancements are now available.

Description

The device-mapper packages provide a library required by logical volume
management utilities such as LVM2 and dmraid.

This update upgrades the device-mapper packages from version 1.02.25 to
version 1.02.28. The update provides the following bug fixes and enhancements:

  • Add the --nameprefixes, --unquoted and --rows options to dmsetup.
  • Add the field name prefix option to reporting functions.
  • Add tables_loaded, readonly and suspended columns to reports.
  • Fix compatibility issues with major/minor numbers for DM devices.

All users of device-mapper should upgrade to these updated packages, which
resolve these issues and add these enhancements.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
