Topic

An updated numactl package that fixes a bug is now available.

Description

numactl is Simple NUMA policy support. It consists of a numactl program to
run other programs with a specific NUMA policy and a libnuma to do
allocations with NUMA policy in applications.

  • the numactl-devel subpackage did not require the same version as the

primary numactl package. The absence of this requirement could lead to
situations where the version of the primary package installed on a system
differed from the version of the subpackage. In this updated package, the
subpackage requires the same version of the primary package. With the
version of the subpackage aligned to that of the primary package, the
interoperability of these components is ensured. (BZ#467022)

Users are advised to upgrade to this updated numactl package which resolves
this issue.
