RHBA-2008:0513 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
ipsec-tools bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
An updated ipsec-tools package that fixes a bug is now available.
Description
The ipsec-tools package contains configuration and management tools for
IPsec.
The kernel headers included in the previous ipsec-tools package did not
contain defines for certain algorithms supported by the current Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 5 kernel. This may have prevented binaries from compiling
on PowerPC architectures, or, in certain situations, caused the "setkey"
command to fail. In this updated package, the current kernel headers are
used, allowing the "setkey" command to support all algorithms supported by
the kernel.
Users of ipsec-tools are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via Red Hat Network. Details on how to use
