Description
Bash is the default shell for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
This updated version of bash addresses the following issues:
- a crash in the file globbing routine has been fixed.
- a memory leak in the built-in 'cd' command has been closed.
- a very rare signal handling problem that could cause bash to consume 100%
of a CPU's resources was fixed.
- the man page now clarifies the behaviour of the "-m" option of the
built-in ulimit command.
This update also adds the following enhancement:
- support for re-binding TTY-special characters has been added.
All bash users should upgrade to these updated packages, which resolve
these issues and add this enhancement.
