Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated crash packages are now available.
Description
The crash packages are used to investigate live systems and kernel core dumps
created from the netdump and diskdump packages.
These packages apply the following fixes:
- These packages fix the "swap" command so that it will not
truncate the leading "/dev" portion of the pathname of each listed
swap device file.
- These packages contain a new "s390dbf" command, which displays
traces written by s390/s390x kernels' s 390debug feature.
- These packages prevent ia64 floating point assist messages from
being generated when traversing user-space copies of floating point
register contents.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:
up2date
This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
