Spagic Platform

Spagic 3 is Universal Middleware, characterized by an innovative approach to the governance and realization of SOA solutions, which are highly modular and configurable around an OSGi (Open Service Gateway initiative) kernel. The Universal Middleware model offers a new development process which gives real answers to the increasing complexity of software architecture, to reusability and to the management of various components lifecycle.

Main benefits

  • Improvement of the platform flexibility through the OSGi technology, which offers a wide range of services through a modular gateway, suitable to different enterprise, custom or mobile environments.
  • Improvement of the dynamic evolution of components through OSGi lifecycle features.
  • Improvement of the components reusability, through an xml declaration of components features: interfaces, publication models (connectors), dependence on other components and security rules.
  • Improvement of the efficiency of all the actors involved in the integration processes. Users can set components and rules, develop processes and define technical concepts using specific tools, such as BPMN, BPEL, workflow, forms, mapping and configuration tools.
  • Analysts' more direct and active role in designing the IT systems that are suitable to their business. The BRMS functions allow the separation among business logic (rules), single components (services) and use modes (connectors).

Highlights

  • Spagic governance tools, based on the Eclipse IDE and on a specific web environment, allow to define services, processes, rules and deployment policies, in order to realize, monitor and manage the platform in different development, test and production environments.
  • Spagic Service Manager implements the SOA Universal Middleware through the adoption of the open source OSGi framework Eclipse Equinox. It has been extended towards orchestration, composition, communication and ESB functions through the most adopted connectors, such as SOAP, JMS, JDBC, FILE, FTP, TCPIP, SAP.
