EWI - Electronic Workflow Integrator

The Electronic Workflow Integrator (EWI) developed by AAM Technologies Ltd. is a human workflow framework that can automate business processes and document management. Using the EWI framework unstructured data and information can be stored and managed in a central repository (version control, groupware, search functions and lifecycle management) and business processes are automated (standard, controlled and audited business processes).

EWI functions

Workflow functions:

• Workbasket (An authorized user can browse his/her workbasket and he/she can continue the chosen process instance.); Starting and running process instances (Handling parallel, sequential, sub and main processes);
• Graphical representation of the process chart (A graphical version of the process chart is available on the GUI to help the user during the execution.);
• Process passing or escalation to other user;
• Deadline handling (A deadline can be set for every process instance and the appropriate users will get an e-mail notification about reaching or passing the deadline.);
• XML based process definition and modification (Implementing new processes or modifying the existing ones through XML based process definition file).

Additional functions:

• Notification handling (In case of process passing or escalation EWI sends e-mail to the chosen user.);
• Comments, questions and warnings can be attached to the process instance;
• Follow up (The history of a process instance can be queried that contains the detailed timeline of the finished steps.);
