The SCSI Bus Analyzer Module is a low-level protocol analyzer module (scsitrace) that can dynamically be enabled and disabled. It currently supports the SCSI interface only. To date the module is capable of capturing the following information: Timestamp in seconds & milliseconds Host, Channel, ID and Lun details Command Descriptor Block (CDB) [Opcode, LBA & Transfer Size] - on sent command SCSI Status - on return of command Sense Data - on return of command The purpose of such a tool is to gather information for: Problem Isolation Storage Development Quality Assurance Product Evaluation Performance Tuning
