Key Features On-Demand scanning The on-demand scanner can scan selected file directories or drives via the command line. Using standard operating system schedulers, periodic scanning tasks can be created. On-Access scanning The on-access scanner performs real-time monitoring of the entire file system. Latest Threat Sense Technology Scanner engine based on optimized ThreatSense-® technology version 3.0 ensures even more sophisticated proactive protection and improved cleaning features. Enhanced system- and platform support ESET File Security supports both, 32-Bit as well as 64-Bit systems, which improves usability in comparison to older versions. Besides Linux and FreeBSD, NetBSD and Sun Solaris platforms are supported as well. Support for Remote Administrator ESET File Security is now compatible with ESET Remote Administrator version 2. Smaller Update Files Core optimization processes keep the size of update files smaller than in previous version of Linux products. The protection of update files against damage has been improved as well.
