DataSynapse FabricServer
DataSynapse, Inc.
FabricServer is an application virtualization and provisioning platform that creates a highly adaptive shared computing infrastructure for application server-based deployments. Application servers and service-oriented components are adaptively provisioned and activated in a shared server environment. FabricServer can virtualize applications that are hosted in any of the leading application servers such as BEA WebLogic Server and JBoss Application Server. FabricServer allows application servers, configuration, and application code to be store in a central web-based repository (with failover). This central component - called a FabricBroker - is responsible for deploying and activating application servers and application code to the remote machines that make up the shared infrastructure. The FabricBroker is also a policy manager that allows operators to create, store, and modify specific policies for how and when the applications are activated on grid resources. FabricServer allows for the monitoring and management of key metrics such as throughput, latency, resource usage, and exceptions. Simple user interfaces and subscription services will provide access to current and historical information as well as SLA warnings and breaches. In the data center, all applications are not created equal. FabricServer offers ability to simply and easily manage complex and volatile application environments from a single console, enabling policy-based automation that can significantly reduce cost and complexity.
