ZTE ElasticNet UME R18

ZTE ElasticNet UME (Unified Management Expert) R18 is a unified intelligent operation and maintenance system for RAN. UME is capable to provide consolidated network operation and maintenance for all ZTE’s RAN equipment and networks. Based on the micro-services architecture, UME uses separated services to provide various management functions, with flexible scalability, smooth capacity expansion, multi-instance on demand, in-building HA (High Availability) and fault tolerance.

UME provides topology management, configuration management, site deployment and upgrading, inventory management, alarm management, performance management, system management, security management, maintenance management and signaling tracing/failure observation. It also provides various northbound interfaces including SFTP, SNMP and RESTful API for interconnection with NMS.

For meeting telecom network cloudlization requirements, UME provides a specific RAN VNFM for ZTE’s RAN VNF. With open architecture, standard interface, secure and reliable interoperability, it achieves elastic scalability and quick deployment of RAN VNFs. It provides multi-VIM access, VNF lifecycle management (including instantiation/upgrade/ expansion/contraction/termination, etc.), auto NE software deployment, Policy management (including editing and releasing VNF scalability policy, and elastic scalability control based on the policy). It associates NFVI physical and virtual resource failure with VNF lifecycle alarm.
