Kove® XPD® software provides dynamic allocation of box-external memory from a pool of Kove® memory appliances.
Servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux, containers, or virtual machines (RHV, KVM) can dynamically grow and shrink memory beyond local physical memory limits. This requires zero code changes. For example, a RHV instance could use 50 TB of real memory for a few minutes, then release the memory back to the pool for reuse by other servers, containers, or virtual machines. This approach enables purchasing less memory, using memory more efficiently, improving performance, and reducing cost.
