ZTE vManager cloud management platform solves telecom network cloudlization requirements. It achieves the virtualization network management capability from the angle of easy management and easy O&M. With open architecture, standard interface, secure and reliable interoperability, it achieves various functions such as elastic scalability and quick deployment of VNF services, effective orchestration of NFV network and service, multi-layer openness of network capability, providing comprehensive supports for efficient virtualization network O&M.
ZTE vManager contains NFVO and VNFM.
NFVO is the control center of the whole vManager, including NSO and RO, responsible for orchestrating and maintaining network service, physical/virtual resources and policies of the whole network, and other maintenance and other management functions relative with virtualization system.
◆Multi-VNFM management and REST based API interface to access and manage 3rd party VNFM.
◆NS network service management, including network service description definition, instantiation, scalability, update and release
◆VNF lifecycle management, including version package registration, instantiation, elastic scalability, manual expansion and contraction, upgrade, instance release, etc.
◆Policy management, including editing and releasing VNF scalability policy, and initiating elastic operations based on the policy.
◆Resource monitoring and management, including monitoring virtual and hardware resources, monitoring KPI and displaying resource topology.
VNFM performs VNF lifecycle management (including instantiation/upgrade/ expansion/contraction/termination), auto virtual NE software deployment and elastic scalability control. It associates NFVI physical and virtual resource failure with VNF lifecycle alarm and reports to EMS. It achieves VNF automatically accessing EMS and reports virtual resource configuration data to EMS.
