SPxSHARC™ protects data at the bit level, going beyond perimeter based solutions and traditional encryption to make data unreadable in the event of a breach. Based on Security First Corp.'s patented SPx™ technology, data is protected at its core. Rather than transmitting and storing data as a single unit, data is encrypted and then randomly split at the bit level into a user-defined number of secure shares. Those shares are then authenticated, transmitted, and stored in unreadable pieces across multiple locations in any storage environment – whether local, remote, or cloud (public, private, or hybrid). Only authenticated users can access the unencrypted data.
SPxSHARC has been certified for RedHat versions 6.2 through 6.7 and takes advantage of the RedHat Kernel Modification (KMOD) for easy updates.
