A Solutions which alllows to manage DLP Data at rest scans among targets manged with the target manager. As Scan backend Symantec DLP is used. The scan manager provides additional features on top of the data at rest scanner:

• Parallel scanning using file splitting
• Split up scans with more than one target to handle each target individually
• Merge splitted scans to the original target set sets to deliver hits over the full target scans. This is required for comparison and trend reports between to scans
• Data owners can order ad-hoc scans of their shares
• Targets of scan can be distributed to several scanners to speed up scans
