iteraplan - the first Open Source tool for Enterprise Architecture Management - is based on the bestpractice-EAM methodology developed by iteratec, a Germany-based software and consulting company. iteraplan delivers support in many ways to help you install and embed Enterprise Architecture Management practices in your company.

Graphics-based evaluations are the great strength of iteraplan. Working with the landscape data you have entered, iteraplan can instantly generate landscape diagrams, information flow diagrams, master plans, cluster and nesting cluster graphics, portfolio diagrams as well as bar and pie charts – providing you with up-to-date views of the landscape within moments. There is a rich array of options for configuring the content and presentation of these graphics, and you can also save the configurations as prepared queries for later reuse. By bookmarking these queries you can provide access to the current data stored in iteraplan from any tool of your choice. By scanning the QR (Quick Response) code on graphics via smart phone you can instantly reload the corresponding visualisation from iteraplan. Graphics are available in Microsoft Visio format as well as in PDF, JPEG, PNG and the vector-based graphic format SVG. You have the possibility to transfer layout you once fixed to new generated graphics or to make an impact analysis of your information systems in Visio format (provided as optional add-ons).
