Cantemo Portal™ is a media asset management (or digital asset management) solution, with the main purpose of managing processes surrounding ingestion, annotation, cataloging, collaboration, storage, retrieval and distribution of digital assets. The main strength of the product is the support for processing audio, video, and image files, however it is designed to manage essentially all file formats.

The main interface is HTML5 based, meaning that there is virtually no installation required on the client side and that it can be accessed by users through any modern web browser no matter where they are located. The server is RedHAT based and is provided in an appliance form factor for easy installation.

The product has been designed to solve fundamental media asset management problems at its core, but also allows the core to be extended, customized, and integrated using its extension layer. The extension layer consists of a well-documented and comprehensive set of REST API's and open source libraries which enables creation of Apps and Themes. The extension layer is available to all partners and customers, and it is also used internally to create Cantemo Apps.
