ss 是印出有關通訊端統計資訊的命令列工具程式，使系統管理員能夠隨時間評估裝置效能。在預設情況下，ss 列出已連線的開放非聽取性 TCP 通訊端，也提供一些實用的選項，以協助系統管理員篩選有關特定通訊端的統計。
Red Hat 建議於 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 中使用 ss 而非 netstat。
