RHEL 7.2 提供了 virt-p2v 工具作為技術預覽功能。virt-p2v（實體至虛擬）是光碟機、ISO 或 PXE 映像檔，給使用者在實體機器上開機，並轉換實體機器為 KVM 所使用的虛擬機器。
KVM 客座端對於 USB 3.0 的支援
在 RHEL 7.2 中，KVM 客座端的 USB 3.0 主機介面（xHCI）模擬器依舊是技術預覽功能。
