F.5. 關機
若要關閉 Red Hat Enterprise Linux，root 使用者能夠使用
/sbin/shutdown 指令。shutdown 的 man page 含有完整的選項清單，不過最常用的兩項選項為：
/sbin/shutdown -h now
以及
/sbin/shutdown -r now
在關閉所有項目後，
-h 選項會使電腦停止運作，-r 選項則會重新啟動電腦。
在 runlevel 1 到 5 的模式下，PAM 主控台的使用者可以使用

如果電腦無法自動關閉電源，請注意不要在一則顯示了系統已經終止的訊息出現之前，將電腦關閉。
