2.1. RHEL OpenStack Platform Director

Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform director 是一个用来部署 OpenStack 环境以及管理产品生命周期的新工具。它是基于 TripleO 项目的，可以提供以下功能：
实施的一致性
Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform director 提供了一个使用 OpenStack 服务和 API 安装 OpenStack 环境的方法。这个方法会使用一个底层的 OpenStack 实例进行安装，然后再管理其它实例，OpenStack 实例通过一组镜像来构建配置文件。director 使用 CLI 或 GUI 实现这个方法。另外，这个方法还需要使用 OpenStack 的 Ironic 服务来部署裸机。
除了安装、配置和管理任务外，director 还提供了一组在安装完成后进行的自动化基准指标数据和健康检查。另外，它还为 RAID、BIOS 和网络接口提供了就绪状态的配置。
生命周期管理
Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform director 提供了对环境进行扩展的工具。director 可以在当前使用的 Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 版本环境中应用新的程序更新，并可以把 Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 升级到更新的版本。
director 还可以和以下红帽产品进行集成：
  • Red Hat Ceph Storage
  • Red Hat Satellite 6
  • 红帽其它的云基础架构产品（Red Hat CloudForms 和 Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization）
更快的版本更新
红帽计划每两个月进行一次 Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform director 版本更新。
操作可见性（技术预览）
Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform director 可以作为 OpenStack 环境的一个特定的日志工具。它还包括了对可用性和性能监测的提示信息。
