3.1. Preupgrade Assistant
Preupgrade Assistant (
preupg)는 사용 중인 시스템을 변경하기 전 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6에서 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7로 업그레이드 시 발생할 수 있는 문제를 확인합니다. 이는 실제 업그레이드 프로세스를 시작하기 전 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7로 업그레이드 성공 가능성을 평가할 수 있습니다.
Preupgrade Assistant는 패키지 제거, 호환되지 않는 오래된 기능, 이름 변경, 설정 파일의 호환성 결여와 같은 시스템에서 인플레이스 업그레이드 제한 가능성을 평가합니다. 그 뒤 다음과 같은 사항을 제공합니다:
- 검색된 마이그레이션 문제에 대한 해결책이 제시된 시스템 분석 보고서
- 인플레이스 업그레이드가 적절하지 않은 경우 시스템 "복제"에 사용할 수 있는 데이터
- 인플레이스 업그레이드 후 더 복잡한 문제를 완료하기 위해 업그레이드 이후 스크립트
시스템은 Preupgrade Assistant에 의해 저장된 정보 및 로그 이외에는 변경되지 않습니다.
