1.4. Data Warehouse サンプリングスケールの変更

Red Hat Virtualization には、Data Warehouse が必要です。Data Warehouse は、Manager と同じマシンまたは Manager にアクセス可能な別のマシンにインストールおよび設定することができます。すべての設定にデフォルトのデータ保持の設定すべてが必要でない可能性もあるので、engine-setup では Basic と Full の 2 種類のデータサンプリングスケールを提供しています。
  • Full は、「ovirt-engine-dwhd.conf の Data Warehouse サービスのアプリケーション設定」に記載のデータ保持設定のデフォルト値を使用します (Data Warehouse がリモートホストにインストールされている場合に推奨)。
  • Basic は、DWH_TABLES_KEEP_HOURLY の値を 720 に、DWH_TABLES_KEEP_DAILY を 0 に下げて、Manager マシンの負荷を軽減します (Manager とData Warehouse が同じマシンにインストールされている場合に推奨)。
サンプリングスケールは、インストール中に engine-setup で設定されます。

Setup can backup the existing database. The time and space required for the database backup depend on its size. This process takes time, and in some cases (for instance, when the size is few GBs) may take several hours to complete.
If you choose to not back up the database, and Setup later fails for some reason, it will not be able to restore the database and all DWH data will be lost.
