ボンディングを追加することにより、2 つ (またはそれ以上) の物理イーサネットリンクを結合した 1 つの論理リンクが作成されます。これにより、ボンディングモードに応じて NIC の耐障害性向上や潜在的な帯域幅の拡張などのメリットが得られます。
