第14章 セッション管理
14.1. GDM とは
GNOME ディスプレイマネージャー (GDM) は、ローカルおよびリモートのログイン用に X サーバーを実行し、管理する、バックグラウンドで実行されるグラフィカルログインプログラムです。
GDM は、X ディスプレイマネージャー XDM に置き換わるものです。ただし、GDM は XDM から派生するものではなく、これには元の XDM コードは含まれません。さらに、GDM にはグラフィカル設定ツールのサポートがないため、GDM 設定を変更するには /etc/gdm/custom.conf 設定ファイルを編集する必要があります。
14.1.1. GDM の再起動
ログイン画面のバナーメッセージ、ログイン画面のロゴ、またはログイン画面の背景などのシステム設定に変更を加える場合、変更を有効にするために
GDM を再起動する必要があります。
警告
サービスを強制的に再起動すると、ログインしているデスクトップユーザーの現在実行中の GNOME セッションが割り込まれることに留意してください。これにより、ユーザーは保存していないデータを失う可能性があります。
GDM サービスを再起動するには、以下のコマンドを実行します。
# systemctl restart gdm.service
