第55章 ハードウェアの有効化
DDF ベースの RAID に依存するプラットフォームはサポートされない
DDF (ディスクデータフォーマット) ベースの BIOS RAID は現在 Red Hat Enterprise Linux でサポートされていません。これには、
megasr 専用ドライバーが必要な LSI BIOS を使用するシステムが含まれます。
ただし、ServeRAID アダプターが搭載されている IBM z Systems サーバーなどの特定システムでは、BIOS で RAID を無効にすることができます。これを実行するには、
UEFI メニューを実行し、System Settings and Devices、I/O Ports メニューから Configure the onboard SCU サブメニューに移動します。次に、SCU 設定を RAID から nonRAID に変更します。変更を保存してからシステムを再起動します。このモードでは、ストレージは Red Hat Enterprise Linux で利用可能な mptsas、mpt2sas、または mpt3sas などのオープンソースの non-RAID LSI ドライバーを使用して設定されます。
IBM システムの
megasr ドライバーを取得するには、IBM サポートページを参照してください。
この制約は
megaraid ドライバーを使用する LSI アダプターには適用されないことに注意してください。このアダプターはファームウェアに RAID 機能を実装しているためです (BZ#1067292)。
