いままでの
upgrade 起動オプションはインストールプロセスの方が優先されるため、インストールプログラムにより検出された旧バージョンの Red Hat Enterprise Linux のアップグレードと再インストールの選択が求められていました。
しかし、
/etc/redhat-release ファイルの内容が変更されている場合など Red Hat Enterprise Linux 旧バージョンの検出が正しく行われないことがあります。upgradeany 起動オプションはインストールプログラムで実行されるテストを緩めることで正しく特定できなかった Red Hat Enterprise Linux インストールをアップグレードできるようになります。
