E.2.22. /proc/mtrr
このファイルには、システムで現在使用中の Memory Type Range Register (MTRR) が記載されています。システムアーキテクチャーが MTRR をサポートしている場合には、
/proc/mtrr ファイルは以下のように表示されます:
reg00: base=0x00000000 ( 0MB), size= 256MB: write-back, count=1 reg01: base=0xe8000000 (3712MB), size= 32MB: write-combining, count=1
MTRR は、Intel P6 ファミリーのプロセッサー (Pentium II 以降) で使用され、メモリ範囲にアクセスするプロセッサーを制御します。 PCI または AGP バス上でビデオカードを使用する場合、
/proc/mtrr ファイルを適切に設定していると、パフォーマンスを 150% 以上向上させることができます。
ほとんどの場合、この値はデフォルトで適切に設定されています。このファイルの手動設定に関する詳しい情報は、以下の場所にあるドキュメントを参照して下さい:
