Las versiones anteriores de Red Hat Enterprise Linux utilizaban tgtd para soporte de destino iSCSI y LIO, el destino de kernel de Linux, solamente para destinos de Canal de fibra por Ethernet (FCoE) mediante el paquete fcoe-target-utils .
