A comprehensive guide to the self-hosted engine.
Self-hosted engine installation has undergone extensive revision in order to provide increased stability, maintainability, and extensibility. The installation is now Ansible-based and includes a re-designed wizard in Cockpit that eases deployment. In this beta release, the installation is available as a Technology Preview and should be separately tested from the rest of the beta features.
To deploy with Ansible via the command line, add the --ansible parameter:
# hosted-engine --deploy --ansible --config-append=answer file
Technology Preview features are not supported with Red Hat production service level agreements (SLAs), might not be functionally complete, and Red Hat does not recommend to use them for production. These features provide early access to upcoming product features, enabling customers to test functionality and provide feedback during the development process.
