3.2. Obtaining Satellite Proxy Entitlements
Satellite Proxy Server is a package-based installation through the Satellite server. The first step involves adding the Proxy entitlements to your Satellite server. This requires an updated manifest, which you generate with the following steps:
- Log on to the Customer Portal and click Subscriptions.
- Click Satellite Organizations.
- Click Satellite.
- Select your desired Satellite.
- Click Attach a subscription.
- In addition to the existing subscriptions, select the subscription that contains the
Red Hat Satellite Proxyproduct. Specify the desired quantity, which corresponds to the number of proxies to create, and click ATTACH SELECTED. Check that the corresponding version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux subscription is already attached. It may take several minutes for the subscriptions to be attached. - When the Attach a subscription window appears, click .
- Click and save the manifest file locally.
The updated manifest now contains entitlements for Red Hat Satellite Proxy. The next step is to upload the updated manifest to your Satellite server.
