Chapter 6. Documentation Changes
The following sections contain some high-level documentation changes for Red Hat Satellite 5.7.
6.1. Major Book Changes in the Installation Guide
- Installation instructions split into three separate installation scenarios:
- Satellite with Embedded Database
- Satellite with Managed Database
- Satellite with External Database (PostgreSQL or Oracle)
- Entitlements Certificates content moved to its own chapter. This is a fairly important step and moving the content to a seperate chapter increases the visability and prominence.
- New content for IdM authentication
- New content for secure database communication for Satellites using Managed and External Database
- New content for hosting a virtual machine on the Satellite server to use for a Subscription Asset Manager server when setting up Enhanced Reporting
