3.2. Obtaining Satellite Proxy Entitlements
Satellite Proxy Server is a package-based installation through the Satellite server. The first step involves adding the Proxy entitlements to your Satellite server. This requires an updates entitlement certificate, which you generate with the following steps:
- Navigate to access.redhat.com in your web browser.
- Log in using your Red Hat customer account details.
- Navigate to .
- Scroll to the Manage section and click Subscription Management Applications.
- Select the Satellite tab.
- Select the Name of your Satellite.
- Click the Attach a subscription link and add the subscription containing the RHN Tools for RHEL channel to your entitlement certificate. Use the checkboxes to select the subscription type and use the Quantity dropdown selector to choose the number of subscriptions to add, which corresponds to the number of proxies to create. Click Attached Selected to add these subscriptions to the entitlement certificate.
- Click the Download Satellite Certificate and save the entitlement certificate.
The updated certificate now contains entitlements for Red Hat Satellite Proxy. The next section shows how to upload this refreshed certificate to your Satellite server.
