- Satellite 5.6 uses new Enhanced Reporting features that integrate with Subscription Asset Manager (SAM) 1.3 and later. Note that Subscription Asset Manager 1.3 is only supported on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 64-bit architecture only, and likewise for Enhanced Entitlements Reporting features.
- Satellite 5.6 now uses a PostgreSQL embedded database instead of Oracle Database. As a result, the database path for Satellite 5.6 has changed from
/rhnsatto/var/lib/pgsql. Allocate appropriate disk space as needed. - Building ISOs with the
cobbler buildisocommand is supported for Satellite hosts on the x86_64 architecture. This feature is not available for Satellite hosts on the s390x architecture.
